Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Building EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) capability helps create inclusive cultures where individuals can thrive, speak up and feel safe.

This course introduces fundamental concepts relating to EDI and its relevance to working lives and organisations. Delivered by a subject matter expert, learners will gain a grounding in key EDI terminology. The course also covers practical steps to enhance inclusivity in the workplace so attendees can start applying their learning immediately.

At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

• Define the key terminology relating to equality, diversity and inclusion
• List some practical steps organisations can take to create a more inclusive workplace
• Take steps to help to prevent discrimination and harassment, and ensure that all employees feel valued and respected, fostering a culture of acceptance and creating a more positive work environment
• Understand the duty to make reasonable adjustments and other obligations under Northern Ireland Equality legislation?
• Spot and deal with signs of bullying, harassment and discrimination.
